Who is PowerSource?

Power Source was developed by Demoride Systems based in Ontario, Canada. The company was originally founded in 1989 by three automobile dealership executives.

The company specializes in serving automotive dealerships and over the years, it has built a wide-ranging and very satisfied customer community.

The Customer Base Manager has been constantly refined and the latest "on-line" version has the most comprehensive set of features available in the market.

Why do I need to manage my customer base?

Your Future Is In Your Customer Base.
Your customer base contains virtually all your potential for future sales - everyone you have sold to, all your service customers and all the residents of your immediate trading area. These are the people who will make or break your business in the coming years.

The Future Can Be Lost.
Losing your grip on your customer base can hurt you. Erosion of the customer base population, lost car and service sales, and longer trading cycles, all add up to a vicious catch-up game where the dealership is always trying to replace the disappearing old customers with new ones.

The Future Can Be Won.
By successfully leveraging the latent potential of your customer base, you can achieve a year-on-year build of customer activity and an increasing conversion rate of that activity into sales.

You Know What Has To Be Done.
There’s no secret to what you have to do. You must equip your salespeople to be more actively involved in your total customer community so they are able to forge closer relationships with a much larger group of people. The days of simply waiting for walk-ins are over. In the end it is always a numbers game and you have to play it better every year.

We Know How To Do It.
Your Customer Base Manager equips you with all the tools you need to have an "Actively Managed Customer Base" and gain greater control over the long term sales potential of your customer base.

What is an "Actively Managed Customer Base?

The Actively Managed Customer Base is an information-driven business process designed to help your sales people constantly generate new activity through the identification and maximization of the best current sales opportunities.

The idea is simple enough - information is the seed of sales activity, Therefore if you develop the best quality customer information you can and make it easily available to your sales people, the activity will follow.

Knowing who your customer is, why you should talk to them, and when to do it enables
salespeople to move out of the traditional reactive mode of waiting for customers to identify themselves and become proactive.

This information is the foundation of a process of continuous opportunity development we call Active Management.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your Customer Base Manager data is run from a remote server that is fully firewalled and fully backed–up.

All data transmissions are encrypted. No one else can see your files, no one else can access them. Full technical details of our security measures can be supplied on request.

How much does it all cost?

Even with all the options, a Customer Base Manager doesn’t add up to a big number. And if you go with a very basic system, it really doesn’t cost much at all. Consider the alternative - a continually eroding customer base and lost leads. You now have the power to change that.

The Hardware Set-up Costs.
If you already have the equipment you should - a basic computer network and an Internet connection - you won’t need to spend a dollar extra.

The Input/Download Set-Up Costs.
To build a thorough customer history requires the input and clean-up of at least six years of a dealership’s sales files and one year of service files.

However, if your Dealership Management System is ADP or Reynolds & Reynolds we can download and format these files directly into your Customer Base Manager for a minimal one-time fee.

If you don’t have a DMS we input them manually for a flat rate per file of $2.00. But you can input them yourself. If you want to be really frugal, you can start with a Zero Base System and begin with no history, building files from your current activity.

The optional Community Database provides a complete listing of everyone living in your trading area - not just your present customers. There is a one-time fee for installation that varies according to the size of your area.

The Monthly Service and Support Fee.
We charge a usage fee of $46 per user, per month – there are no long-term contract obligations. These fees cover system connect time and data warehousing, daily backups of your data, system upgrades, and hotline support.

For full performance every salesperson and every manager should be linked into your Customer Base Manager – but you can begin small if you want to.

How long to get up and running?
Setting up doesn’t take long. If you have the right things in place you can be up and running in a few days.
